I know kangaroo leather has some incredible strength to it, even when cut thin. It’s also used in footwear given it’s strength and durability. Though, I’ve never used it yet.
Has anyone tried it for a project? Is it as easy to work with as veg tanned leather?
I haven’t used it yet, but after the new year I am planning to buy two or three Roo Hides of different colors to make a whip from.
There is something scientific about the uniform fibers in a kangaroo’s skin that makes their hides the strongest leather in the animal kingdom.
They are used in a wide variety of leather goods but the most famous among them is probably the bull whip.
